Quotes:
Mike Graham, Buffalo State Students For Peace member: "It is ironic that tuition is increasing by almost $1,000 dollars and there is a proposal to cut the Tuition Assistance Program by 1/3 and other financial aid programs by 5% while "Army of One" banners hang in the student union and recruiters target the urban population and poor minority students."

Colin Eager, Director of the Western New York Peace Center: "The Western New York Peace Center feels that student organizing initiatives such as the "Books Not Bombs" Student Strike are essential to defeating the Bush agenda."

Anand Perala, Buffalo State College Amnesty International Student Representative: "If we hope to achieve peace, we must value education and thought. By devaluing education the oligarchs can make it easier to promote their wars, and keep their power."

Joshua Coppings, Buffalo State Students For Peace: "March 4th represents a day for students nationally and internationally to voice our opposition to cuts to TAP (Tuition Assistance Program) and EOP (Educational Opportunity Program), tuition increases, and an overall foreign policy which steals money from students pockets, and affects our jobs today and in the future. As students at Buffalo State College we want to ensure an adequate education for ourselves and for our children - essentially a stronger community, and a better world."

Rachel Raderman, Buffalo State Students For Peace: "Our gathering today is a public outcry over our government's priority. As education funding is cut, there is unlimited money for prisons and wars. We stand here in solidarity with students across the nation to resist this choice. A country uneducated is a country at a loss."
